Acting-Improvisation and the power of the Mask
This two-part workshop offers an immersive introduction to theatre training.
In the ‘Acting–Improvisation’ section, students develop focus, stage presence, imagination, and connection through exercises exploring circumstances, intentions, objectives, obstacles, and conflict.
In ‘The Power of the Mask’, participants experience transformation by letting the mask “inhabit” them. Through physical warm-ups, music, and free exploration of space and objects, they discover instinctive movement and emotion. The mask becomes a living presence, guiding the actor beyond performance toward pure discovery, a balance between curiosity and unease that reveals the transformative nature of acting itself.
*Participants should wear loose clothes and bring a monologue of their own choice.
