‘The Lover’ is a journey through memory, retracing the life and path of Mahmoud Darweesh, one of the most prominent voices in Palestinian and Arab poetry, through his poetic and narrative texts. This work follows the poet through cities and places that shaped his identity and writings, such as the village of Al-Birwa, Haifa, Beirut, Paris, and the West Bank.
