In the Mossovet Theatre’s production, director Evgeny Marchelli uncovers fresh psychological layers within this classic, revealing new dimensions of its familiar characters. After her wedding, Elmire, Orgon’s youthful and lively wife, transforms their home into a place of constant festivity. Her exuberance unsettles Orgon, making him increasingly vulnerable to the manipulations of Tartuffe, the pious imposter who infiltrates the household under the guise of virtue. As confusion and tension grow, the play builds toward a single pressing question: how far will Tartuffe’s influence go, and what will become of this household ensnared by deception?

Contact:teatrmossoveta@culture.mos.ru

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”19876″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”19873″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”19870″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Tartuffe Country: Russia Production: MOSSOVET STATE ACADEMIC THEATRE (MOSCOW, RUSSIA) Text: Molière’s play “Tartuffe, or The Impostor”.
