To capture the homeland’s pains and joys, hardships and happy moments, the director chose ‘The House of Abu Abdallah’, with all its changes, ups, and downs. Through the house’s symbolism and various family life details, like rights and duties, Anas Abdessamad reflects on his homeland, delving into fundamental questions like freedom, the body’s sanctity, and oppression.
Emphasizing the actor’s physical expression and using meta-theater, he transforms the stage into a space for confession, exposing and denouncing the oppression of power.
