Synopsis
Hammam Al-Hana examines the condition of modern man within today’s societies. The story unfolds inside a traditional public bath, a place where men gather to unwind after a long day of work. This everyday setting gradually becomes a psychological and social laboratory, exposing the cracks in the masculine ideal and the pressures imposed upon men.
Five strangers meet by chance, each carrying a personal struggle, a wound, or a secret worry. Through their interactions, the figure of “the man” emerges as a complex being torn between mind and body, strength and vulnerability, authority and confinement. Here, the so-called pillar of society reveals himself as both powerful and imprisoned by the expectations he is forced to uphold.
