Synopsis:
After marriage, Chams’ life becomes a nightmare characterized by the challenge of asserting herself and voicing her thoughts in a society where laws are dictated by men. Chams cannot delay the decision to have children or reject her husband’s desires. Several activities and actions that Chams believed were her rights are revealed to be forbidden. This play highlights the intricate psychological states and struggles of women confronting societal challenges, notably marital rape and postpartum depression (baby blues).
