Synopsis:
In the renowned neighborhood of 220 dwellings in Adjamé, we follow the lives of four families who navigate through ten pivotal years in the history of Ivory Coast. This musical comedy humorously and dynamically revisits the events that significantly impacted Ivory Coast socially, politically, and culturally from 1990 to 1999: the currency devaluation, the passing of President Houphouët, power struggles, and the initial marches of FESCI. “220 Dwellings” is a play infused with Ivorian humor, reflecting a reconciled Ivory Coast, all set to the vibrant rhythm of Zouglou.
